My office was closed, so I used today to do some exercise, do some gaming for fun then gaming for my research. Think I'll do another gaming session for my research with Wolfenstein: The New Order on Steam...(a game that I would, perhaps surprisingly, recommend).

February 20, 2017 and it is President's Day being celebrated in the USA! A day originally meant to combine the birthdays of Washington and Lincoln in celebration, I think, since both those days occur in February. However, now it has become a day to celebrate all USA Presidents, if anyone wishes to do so.

Being President must be a hard job, so one wonders why so many people want to achieve that status. Is it the power, the perks, the recognition, the sense of love for one's country, or what?

Happy President's Day everyone!

And, thanks to each and every President who has served our Country during all these many, many years. From George Washinton, our first President, up until our current President Donald Trump, and all the ones to follow. :usa:

President's Day in the USA is being celebrated on Monday, February 19, 2018 this year. It is an official holiday so Federal Offices, Post Offices, Banks, and some other places will be closed for a holiday on Monday Feb. 19.

This day celebrates the birthdays of former US Presidents George Washington (First President of the USA) and Abraham Lincoln (16th President of the USA, I think it was), thus is why it is called President's Day!

Enjoy the day everyone! :usa:

Monday, February 18, 2019 is President's Day, which is an official holiday in the USA. Many Federal offices, banks, schools, and other businesses will be closed for this day. No US Postal mail service, etc.

Also there may be a lot of President's Day sales during the weekend before Monday the 18th and on that day as well in some places.

This day celebrates the birthdays of former US Presidents George Washington (First President of the USA) and Abraham Lincoln (16th President of the USA, I think it was), who both have birthdays during the month of February, and that is why it is called President's Day! However, it is also a good day to celebrate and honor all other US President's as well.

Enjoy the day! :usa:

President's Day today, Monday, February 15, 2021. An Official holiday in the USA so Federal Offices will be closed, including the Post Office (No mail delivered today), most banks, and some other places of business, etc. Check your local area to see which places are closed or open today.

President's Day is a day set aside to honor all former US President's. It also combines the birthday celebrations of two former US Presidents (Lincoln & Washington) who were both born in the month of February.
