Pre-cut Melon warning

Be careful of those grocery items with pre-cut melons, etc., as there is a warning out in some states that the items may be the cause of salmonella sickness.

This warning only applies to pre-cut Melons. The whole Melons, etc., are safe supposedly.

Salmonella seems to be everywhere ! Alas...not only in eggs and milky products…:(

The fact that it's only the pre-cut ones would seem to indicate there might be a hygiene problem somewhere in the processing for whoever is supplying these to the affected stores. Very strange.

Yes very Strange indeed it is...maybe there was a lack of control in the product chain ?

Safer to buy your own melon whole and cut it up yourself, probably.
