I noticed that our local Walmart sale paper had these new Playstation Classics listed for about $90.00 or so. Has anyone purchased one yet?

No. And it’s apparently a very lazy effort on Sony’s part. Poor selection of games, UI dull, and PAL versions that are generally inferior to NTSC versions, though you can apparently change that by just plugging in a keyboard and accessing configuration menus by pressing escape. Honestly, seems a waste of money and a cash-in on a trend attempt. Get a raspberry pi or buy PS1 games on PlayStation Network (what I did with FFVII).
Next Pokemon game(s): Pearl
Last finished Pokémon game: Shield
Other games: Skyrim Special Edition (Switch), Spyro Reignited Trilogy (Switch & PS4), Okami (Switch & PS4)
Other gaming goals: completing a Living Pokedex (minus some event Pokes) and going through at least 1 game per generation

I'm not sure what Sony was thinking either. The PS1 has an incredibly deep library, but it's not on display here.

I was super excited when this was first announced. Sadly it only looks good. I'm rather disappointed in Sony for rushing their product to get it out in time for Christmas. I guarantee you that's what happened and why they cut corners.

I might pick one up sometime if I can find a good deal, but I can guarantee you I would modify it to add more games and have a dualshock controller instead. Though I might just get a Raspberry Pi 3 and get a PSX case for it. I made on for my brother a couple years back and they are fantastic, cheaper too.
