Intruder Alert! Real "whistler" robots guard Microsoft

While I'm sure you can point to any number of video games, TV shows, movies, books, etc. which feature stout, "trashbin"-style intrusion detection robots, it pleases me greatly that the Microsoft campus in Mountain View, CA is now using REAL whistlers! You remember these fellows from our favorite games, right?

Here are the tracer/whistle/informer from PSII:

The whistle (now called the whistler) and tracer reappeared in PSIV:

And here's the real deal (called "Knightscope K5", very sci-fi), with a sleek 21st century design.

Fortunately (or maybe unfortunately), the real robots do not zap intruders.

That is just awesome. It's finally beginning to feel like the future a bit.
Next Pokemon game(s): Pearl
Last finished Pokémon game: Shield
Other games: Skyrim Special Edition (Switch), Spyro Reignited Trilogy (Switch & PS4), Okami (Switch & PS4)
Other gaming goals: completing a Living Pokedex (minus some event Pokes) and going through at least 1 game per generation

I'd like to see more of them. I don't know about their cost vs. hiring living, breathing security guards, but I'm intrigued with the idea of taking out the human factor/human bias in law enforcement. I think they could very well save lives (you can't "kill" these robots, and so far, they can't kill you *shifty eyes*), but I'm thinking too far ahead.

The "whistler" robot from Moicrosoft seems really to be like our hatred whistler monsters in Phantasy Star 2 !
