Planar weapons

In PSIII, the Planar Weapons, are the absolute strongest, except for the Nei Weapons. What is interesting is they outclass even Laconia weapons.
What is Planar?
I've always told myself its "Planarium," a fictional metal or alloy, much like Laconia.
Its only found in PSIII, to my knowledge.
Perhaps even, only on Alisa III, the ship you are on.
So, what is Planar?
Takers?

Good question. I like to think of it as improved or refined Laconia. Maybe Laconia enhanced by a advanced or special technique.

Another idea: Some kind of fictional metal, as you already mentioned, which the Alisa III discovered on another planet. Lets say the ship discovered a planet which was close to habitable for the Parmans. After investigating it, the people realized the planet was too hostile for them to live here. But at least they could mine some Planar metal and use it. Just some wild idea of mine though.

Yes I wonder.
Just one of several cool, peculiarities, of PSIII.

In my earlier years of playing PS III, I likened Planar with a meteorite of unusual quality and through a combination of Tech and Forging, they made some of the best weapons out of this meteorite. I suppose I decided on this based on my love of a cartoon, Conan the Adventurer, who had a "Star Metal" Sword which allowed him to expose and banish the Snake Men he was searching for.

This Planar name is in fact a strange name ! But why not think that this was another metal found later for example ?

Does it perhaps mean 'planetary' in some form? Or perhaps 'plane', meaning a realm?

Planetary I would say. And so I would suggest it was found by the Alisa III on a planet they found during their quest for a new home. Idea: They hoped to find a home on this planet but it turned out not to be habitable for the former Parmans. But at least they only could gather some of the planets precious minerals and forge some serious stuff out of it.

I agree ! Planetary for me like I said before, maybe from the rests/remnants of a giant meteorite ?
