This parrott saved a little girl from choking to death. He's a hero!

You know why pirates are always depicted as having parrots? Because parrots are awesome like this.

Parrots are second only to ravens and crows when it comes to intelligence in the bird world. This and that article makes them awesome.

I read this story this morning and I was quite impressed. Reminds me of the story when a cat saved a babies life.

Yeah, I can understand that. It is kinda :yuck: when that happens.

Guess what, I just happened to see this same parrott on the news this morning on Fox News channel. There was a little girl on there with him, but I wasn't close enough to the TV to hear what they were saying and if it was the same little girl he "saved" or not. I was busy doing other things and just had the TV on at the same time. Looks like the bird is making the rounds of the TV programs, though, so keep your eyes open and maybe you will see him somewhere else on TV. Most everyone loves a story like this, and it is not that often that we hear a " good " story what with all the bad ones around lately.

Parrots are beautiful, intelligent birds and this one richly deserves the accolades for issuing his swift, life-saving alert. Thank you for sharing this charming anecdote.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. - C. S. Lewis
