The open, snow covered fields of Dezoris were very cold even in the days of Alis Landale. Just looking at this battle background can call to mind the harsh chills of our own winters. To live and travel in a world that always looks like this would be quite an undertaking. The brightness of sunlight reflecting of the pristine white that blankets the land would be enough to blind anyone without proper protective gear. Even the distant mountains are covered in the sheets of ice, no doubt leading to many avalanches in that range.
