I don't know what you're talking about
To be frank, for those who like those kind of games (hack-and-slash, grind-fest, loot finding...in other words, the big evolution of Diablo...but even more mindless), I guess those can be good games.
But for those who thinks Phantasy Star should be about the storyline, the settings, and no repetition, everything based on the single-player experience, than it's a stab in the heart everytime. I give some credits to PSO, which while not very long, and a story with some mystery around it, and they were trying to give us something more mature and less anime-cliche. Of course, it become boring quite quickly, but at least the first playthrough of story mode was...interresting (not as much as the classic saga, but interresting at least)...
But everything have been lost everything Satoshi Sakai took over, and that started with Phantasy Star Universe. Since then, everything went downhill non-stop. Phantasy Star Portable 2 was really the last time I could endure something like this...and I admit I was curious about the Dewman in infinity and I tried the demo...and without knowledge of Japanese, it's easy to see that it's going to be, once again, a train-wreck. The very first minute we see Hyuga in the beginning and it's dialogue with Emelia, you can feel that they try to continue in this ultra J-Pop anime culture which I hate in a game about sci-fi fantasy.
Of course, everything here is personal opinion
