I came across this news today, stating Sega may have plans to port Phantasy Star Online 2 to the Playstation Vita sometime after the game’s PC release.

Some related links of interest, concerning the topic:

Interesting that the Vita and PC versions will both use the same server. I think that's new for Sega's online Phantasy Star offerings. I'm glad to see the game getting a release on something other than PC. Perhaps Sega of America will decide to bring over the Vita version and have it connect to the same servers the Japanese players are using. That would certainly be something different.

I don't think there's a release date yet. There's a new article now that reveals the Vita game is only 10% complete as of now. There's still a lot of work to do on it.

PSO2 is targeted for a 4th Quarter 2012 release, with the Vita version expected to appear with 12 months of that release. Or so the plans are according to the press conference.

Believe it or not, but the fourth quarter of 2012 is a lot closer than it seems. Shucks, we're already going into almost half the year being gone already. Looking forward to PSO2.
