Source: http://www.joystiq.com/2013/09/09/phant ... -for-vita/

From the article:

"Sega announced Phantasy Star Nova at Sony's Tokyo Game Show press conference this morning, a Vita entry being developed by established RPG studio Tri-Ace. Nova is set in the same world as Phantasy Star Online 2, but can be played both offline or in online co-op for up to four players. It's due to be released for Japan in 2014.

Sega also revealed sales of PSO2 are now up to 650,000, with 500,000 of those coming from downloads. The MMO reached 500,000 sales in the summer."

Thoughts?

That's all phantastic news.... but. The odds of an official English language version getting a set release date the way SoA operates these days is, (pick one).:
a. When pigs fly.
b. The day before the apocalypse begins.
c. Whenever McDonalds switches over to an all organic food menu.
d. Just before California drops into the Pacific Ocean.

I love Sega, but they have a moron leading the U.S. division these days.

Great news but...when will SEGA release a true new "offline" Phantasy Star ? I know that a lot of people are dreaming about it but.. there is nothing coming ! No news about it ?
know that I'm dreaming but hope those dreams will come true one day...

Has Sega confirmed they will not release this in the USA?

Will the Chinese version have English?

There hasn't been anything said about an English language version just yet, but it seems a high probability at present moment that one will be in the works if not for the US/EU market then for the Hong Kong/Malaysia/Singapore market. Now the question is, if and when an English version gets made, will it be sold as a physical release or as a DDL, that has yet to be forseen.

If it is on a card, I will not mind it that much if the English only comes in Asia (although it would still be a bad thing). Good thing the Vita is import friendly.
