Myau first appears in
Phantasy Star in the cutscene shown here. After fleeing from Medusa on Palma, Myau had been captured and sold to shop owner on Motavia. This greedy seller demanded an exorbitant price for the talking cat, but eventually settled on trading him for an expensive laconian pot once owned by Alis' brother, Nero. After Alis frees the feline wonder, Myau explains that Odin is petrified deep in a cave on Palma. The bottle hanging around Myau's neck contains the medicine needed to restore Odin.
