Phantasy Star IV Purgatory Mode Mod

I don’t feel so motivated to do it again now ;_;

But I might look into PS hacks.

I started playing this hack after almost a years dormance in Phantasy Star. I don’t abuse save states, as I prefer in-game saves.

I’m currently up to Zio’s Fort. Random battles are crazy, as both characters and enemies are capable killing anyone within about two hits. I’m gonna grind a bit (at level 21 now) to about level 24, then I’ll proceed onto rescuing Demi (I’ve already defeated Zio).

Hahn is very useful in the hack. He’s a good healer (he has Sar in this hack too), now has Deban, and has Gra and GiGra too.

Although one criticism I have of the hack is that I think too much characters have Recover, Medice, and Vision as new skills. Eitherway, great hack!

I’m up to the Air Castle now. Enemies by now have about 1000 HP, and I had a little bit of trouble against the Xe-A-Thouls, but I managed.

I’m at level 46 now, and I hope to be at level 47 soon, then I’ll go on to fight Lashiec.

Starting with the Climatrol, battles would start to take a rather long while, and the weapons plant was pretty dangerous too. I’m still not able to stand a chance against Sandworms as they have very high agility in this hack.

Kyra is pretty handy too in the hack once she gains a few levels.

Just completed the hack after a long battle with the Profound Darkness. Was a really great hack. Was frustrating at times, but worth it in the end.

I also ran into a lot of Prophallus’. Twice in a row, then another soon after XD

I’ll be playing hell mode next. Wish me luck.

Congratulations ! Sure that those sort of hacks are a bit (often? ) frustrating but after having completed it...it sure is a relief, agret joy and you are surely proud of yourself !!!
