No, this person is not on drugs! Zio's dark magic has turned this poor Academy staffer into stone. In the original game, this fellow was part of Holt's crew. He seems to be the same here and just as unlucky, thanks to Zio's appearance.

It's interesting that Zio is the only wizard who is known to turn things into stone. I wonder if Rune had that ability.

I dare say Rune could have had the power to turn things into stone but I doubt he would use it unless he really had to. Zio on the other hand just used it to be a big evil fella.

I never knew if he was actually part of Holt's crew or part of Principal's rescue team that never left Piata.

Zio must be channeling Medusa from PSI.

I think the stone power is part of the magic Zio gets from Dark Force. It ties into Medusa too. In PSI, they said Medusa had been revived after being killed a long time ago. It's a lot like Lashiec in PSIV, so I figure Medusa must have been a servant of Dark Force like Lashiec and Zio.
