In the pirate games, no one has normal eyes. Instead they have these huge black orbs, lacking any whites. This is another example of Alys and Chaz having the same hair color, too. Their headbands are gone, along with Hahn, who was in the Phantasy Star IV scene this is based on. I love Gryz's expression here, though.

This image also tries out a new border style for the cutscenes - the third style so far. They just couldn't pick one and stick with it.

Alys looks old and blonde Gryz shrunk and got a squished bug head and Chaz has very big black eyes. :blank: Scary stuff.........

I'm not entirely sure, but when I look more closely, I think what's supposed to the the whites of Alys's eyes looks yellow.

This scene now reminds of something stupid. Imagin this scene from this version of the game, the alert sound from Metal Gear Solid, and "Who's that Pokemon" being said in the background and you got yourself a scene.
