Phantasy Star IV Pirate Versions: Chaz and Rune

This scene of Chaz and Rune Walsh shows another sharp dip in quality, even beyond the norm for these games. Chaz seems to have been replaced with a young lady; he is much more slender than usual. The altered hair style and missing headband also contribute to this looking like a completely different character.

I think Rune looks a bit feminine in this image too. Maybe not as bad as Chaz, but still...plus, bug eye syndrome makes a triumphant return.

This almost looks like they just drew the scene in MS Paint and then copied it into an 8-bit cartridge
