Phantasy Star IV: Hahn Portrait

Each party member in Phantasy Star IV has a section of the game's menu devoted to displaying their statistics. These stats include items equipped, values for strength and other vital details, lists of skills and techniques, and a large portrait such as this one. This portrait is shown on the status section for Hahn Mahlay. Hahn is usually depicted as wearing some type of identification badge on his white jacket. Perhaps this would be the photo on the badge.

Photographs taken by academic institutions for identification badges are usually somewhat less flattering than Hahn's status portrait.

True, that! newsblade probably has it right in this case. This does look more like a picture that a soon-to-be family member would have around.
