Talk - Holt

Holt is a professor of Motavia Academy in Piata. In AW 2284, he went missing for a time, until a group of hunters and Holt's assistant, Hahn, discovered he had been turned to stone! After being restored to normal, Holt immediately continued investigating a nearby ancient structure. He showed no concern that the investigation was the cause of his rocky predicament and continued on, thinking only of the excitement of exploring an area from a lost age.

I loved that man. He just seemed so goofy and somewhat like the stereotypical college professor. It amused me. I wish he had been in the game more.
Last finished Pokémon game: Shield
Other games: Skyrim Special Edition (Switch), Spyro Reignited Trilogy (Switch & PS4), Okami (Switch & PS4)
Other gaming goals: completing a Living Pokedex (minus some event Pokes) and going through at least 1 game per generation

He's a little scatter brained. I always liked how they reacted to him. I mean he's finally released from stone and 3 seconds later he's running off on his own again.
Everything has a pattern. Something set. Even random things. They aren't random at all, its complex mathematics. The trick is to find the pattern. Then you can exploit it.
People think things have a certain end. Taxes. Work. Due dates don't really exist. Trust me. When you put a band of world scholars in the same room, and set them on talking about anything, the most interesting topics come up. The existence of negative time. The probability of "random occurrence". The government's involvement in the media. And falsified due dates. They aren't real, trust me....

I would have liked to see him come back later in the game. Holt seems like the type of guy that should need rescuing a lot, just because he's always rushing into the thick of things by exploring.

But he's so brilliant, at least it seems so. Stereotypical college professor. Incredibly smart, but no common sense whatsoever and scatter-brained. That is why I wish he was in the game more. Put a pair of glasses on him, make him a political science professor, and he would be one of my professors here.

Same for me here : he always have been a fascinating fellow, obnubilated by his reaserches and very far from all other things, such as danger everywhere around him in Birth Valley !
