Many people dislike the early gameplay of
Phantasy Star III, which emphasizes the medieval fantasy setting of kingdoms at war, dragons, and monsters. For those who were expecting a setting more similar to
Phantasy Star II's technologically advanced worlds, the appearance of this shuttle craft must have been a welcome sight. The shuttle, whether found in the quest of either Ayn or Nial, gave the first real glimpse of a connection between the two games. It is not until the shuttle is used that the true nature of this game's world, and the technology behind it, is revealed.
