The legendary gorgon, Medusa, returns for another appearance in Phantasy Star: Deluxe Edition. This time she has a somewhat more human look to her character design. In the original game, her body was snake-like up to her chest. This time, the scales stop a lot lower. She is no less deadly, however. The mirror shield of Peresus is still a requirement for gaining the Laconian Axe by defeating her.

When you think about it Medusa was in heaps of early RPGs.
