Phantasy Star: Fringes of Algo

This wild haired man is Dr. Luveno, a designer and builder of space vessels on Palma. Alis and her friends seek the man out at the prompting of Noah. They plan to obtain one of his ships to get around Lassic's restrictions on space travel between the worlds of the Algo Solar System. Unfortunately, the doctor is a little crazy. Before she can get a ship from him, Alis must endure several quests to fetch needed people and materials - including the doctor himself! Luveno was imprisoned, his assistant in hiding, and the pilot was in a garbage pile. After dealing with all that, Alis finally gets the ship - named after Luveno himself.

Luveno: There we go. Now, you said you wanted a spaceship?
Alisa: Yes, please!
Luveno: Well, there's the small matter of my research assistant...
Alisa: What?
Luveno: If you can fetch him from the Underground Passage, I'll have all the help I need to build you a starship, Miss Landale.

(one retrieval later...)

Alisa: Here he is!
Luveno: Splendid. Now, there's the matter of acquiring the parts and tools we need... I believe 1200 Meseta should cover it.
Alisa: You didn't say anything about that!
Luveno: You never asked.
Alisa: But... but...
Assistant: I'm busy. Don't bother me.

(one slash slash slash kill kill kill later...)

Alisa: Here's your Meseta, you pirate.
Luveno: Thank you! Now, to get started. Please wait a moment...

(time passes)

Tairon: Now?
Luveno: Genius cannot be hurried! Show some patience!

(more time passes)

Myau: How about now? It's been six hours!
Luveno: Genius cannot be hurried! Show some patience!

(even more time passes)

Alisa: (playing a Sega Nomad) (humming the Green Hill Zone theme)
Lutz: Is it ready yet, Doctor?
Luveno! It is! All you need is a navigator droid to pilot it-
Alisa: WHAT?!
Luveno: You never asked.

(one Megido later...)

Luveno: (charred black) Owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
