When compiled in the
Game no Kanzume game collection, some of the
Phantasy Star II Text Adventures games were edited with various improvements. The game focused on Shir is one of these, with the first visible difference occurring on the title screen. Comparing this version to the
original, which was released on Sega's old modem service and
Phantasy Star Complete Collection, will reveal that the background color was changed to the dark blue seen here. Out of the seven other text adventures, only one other received a similar change. Five games, in total, originally used the green title screens, but the
Game no Kanzume collection used that design element only for three: Rolf, Rudo, and Kain.
