Phantasy Star: Fringes of Algo

The young woman we see here is a thrill seeker. On hearing of Rolf's adventures, she joins up in search of a new adventure. Her name is Shir Gold and she introduces herself as a thief who has never been captured. She makes no apologizes for her actions - justice and peace are of no interest to her. Having fun is what she is after. The journey with Rolf will provide her with excitement unlike any she has previously experienced.

Phantasy Star II introduced many new features to the Phantasy Star series that became staple features in most of the following games. One of these was the concept of static character portraits in the status screen. For the case of this game, these portraits are available at Rolf's home in Paseo and accompany short background texts about each character.
