Phantasy Star: Green Dungeon

One of the most remarkable features of Phantasy Star is the first person dungeon exploration. Created in a time when the contemporary games were using exclusively top down views, like those Phantasy Star itself employs outside of dungeons, this is among the qualities set the game apart from others and ensured Phantasy Star a place in gaming history. In order to fit more content on the small memory resources of the Master System cartridge, the developers designed a graphic system that allowed them reuse one common set of designs for every dungeon. The various dungeons throughout the game all referenced those patterns, changing the colors for variety. This particular dungeon used a mixture of two green colors, unlike another that used a common darker green for walls, floor, and ceiling.

The first person dungeons are so great in the game ! I love them so much, even if they are all the same ! It's one of the great charm of this fantastic game (legendary...).

I like this color green. It is light and looks better than the darker color, I think.

This green color is great, even if I tend to prefer blue ones, and the orange one in Baya Malay Tower !:)

I prefer the red/Orange version but green is great too !
