Amy is a medical doctor that comes to Rolf's home after learning that he is tracking the origin of biomonsters. She comes from an area of Motavia where deadly monsters rampaged through two cities. In that area, the task of saving the populace from the monsters fell to Amy and a fellow researcher. To prevent that from happening again, she seeks to assist Rolf in his mission with her healing knowledge.
Phantasy Star II introduced many new features to the
Phantasy Star series that became staple features in most of the following games. One of these was the concept of static character portraits in the status screen. For the case of this game, these portraits are available at Rolf's home in Paseo and accompany short background texts about each character.
