Phantasy Star: Heroine Series [Updated 02/23/12: Anna!]

I love to mess around with sprites and thus I started a small project called the "Heroine Series", where I recolor the heroines of Phantasy Star as other female characters from the same system.

Q: Would you do every character in the Phantasy Star series?
A: I would eventually love to, but I am slowly doing them at my own pace.

Q: What is the concept behind these sprites?
A: I was always curious how would a certain character look like if they were from another video game. Thus I started out this project for my own amusement. Basically I do not want to deviate far from the design of their original sprite, aside from re-coloring them and making slight adjustments like adding a piece of equipment.

Ha ha, cute. I can recognize a good number of the other PS heroines.

However, if I may point out, I think you missed two of the PSIV heroines. But maybe you did that by intention, or maybe I'm totally blind. Either way, these are cute...I like them!

Thank you, I'm happy to know you think they're cute!

Not that I missed them by intention, but I actually don't know anything about the cast of Phantasy Star IV. I initially thought Demi and Kyra were background characters, much like how Maia is in Phantasy Star III. I don't want to do any PSIV research because someone already spoiled me something major in PSIV and I want to keep it that way until I actually play the game.

Also I don't want to oversaturate it with so many Phantasy Star girls that there's barely any left for other heroines from Genesis games. I could move Demi and Kyra to another character or make a part two for Nei!

Yep!:
- Tyris Flare [Golden Axe] is the fifth character on the first row.

You are correct:
- Alisia [ALISIA DRAGOON] is the first character on the first row.
- Blaze Fielding [STREETS OF RAGE 3] is the fifth character on the third row.
- Sailor Moon [Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon] is the second character on the first row.

And indeed, there is a Sailor Moon game for the Mega Drive, simply called Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon.

Oops! I got their names all mixed up. I'd say it's been a while since I visited the Wonderboy series.

I also fail a communication. I meant I'd keep working on guessing who the sprites represent. I lack sufficient talent for sprite work.

Also, the fourth sprite on the bottom row is killing me. I totally know who that is, but the name escapes me. Gah!
