Phantasy Star Collection (Saturn): Cloakless Rune

This set of poses shows Rune Walsh in one of his early designs. We also get to see a rare moment in which he is not wearing his cloak. It is almost always present, so the bottom scene here is an unusual treat. Rune can really pass for a typical everyday normal guy with his sleeves rolled up there. The top right picture also shows us that his cloak did include a hood in this early version of the character. Perhaps that was abandoned because his made his connection to Lutz too obvious to the experienced Phantasy Star players.

You took the words right out of my mouth. He really *does* look like an everyday guy when he doesn't have his cape on. It's weird! But I guess he can fool people by doing that

Rune: Err... handyman services. Glad to meet you.
Female Customer: Oh, swoon. ^_^
Chaz: You know, you're not fooling anyone.
Rune: Don't you have an Elsydeon to get?
Chaz: (marches off into the Cavern of the Sacred Blade) Who needs their houses reroofed on Dezolis, anyway?!
Rune: You'd be surprised, Chaz.
Female Customer: There's a piece of tile out of place. Could you fix it... and stay for tea? ^_^
