Phantasy Star generation:1: Odin's Sword Attack

As in the original game, Phantasy Star generation 1 allows Odin to equip both axes and swords for melee weapons. This time, the swords he can use are different from those available for Alis. In this sprite sheet, we can see Odin delivering an overhead slash with a huge two handed blade. By way of comparison, Alis holds her swords with only one hand. This may also be one of the simplest attack animations for a player character in the game. It has only six frames and does not use the repetition techniques used in other sequences.

Odin: GrAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! (chop slash slash)
Alisa: Hey, I thought I was the swordswoman in this group! How come you get that sword?
Odin: Because this sword's seven feet long and it weighs fifteen pounds.
Alisa: But it's a sword. I can use swords. ^_^x
Lutz: One-handed swords, Alisa. Odin's claymore was made for two-handed use.
Alisa: So I can toss my shield. I never use it anyway!
Odin: Well... if you say so. (hands the claymore over)
Alisa: (shoulders the claymore, then swings it just like Odin does. She falls flat on her face mid-swing.)
Myau: What have we learned?
Alisa: That I need to work out more. x_X
