Phantasy Star generation:1: What?!?

This scene, part of Lutz's introduction in Phantasy Star generation:1, highlights the many different emotions that cutscenes of this style can convey. What could Lutz have said to provoke these kinds of reactions in the people that sought him out? Alis seems very shocked, Myau looks like he would be holding his head if he had hands, and Odin... well, I'm not sure how to describe that look. This definitely does not seem like the first meeting with a mighty wizard, though.
