After obtaining a letter from Motavia's governor in Paseo, Alis and her two companions make their way through a twisting mountain cavern in search of this room. Here they find Lutz, a man studying the ways of magic. He is a powerful wizard who will lend a great deal of help to Alis' cause. Without this magical powerhouse, the battle against Lashiec would be very one-sided. When they do finally come across Lutz, he seems to be working with a round sphere. Perhaps this is the artifact that will one day be known as the Telepathy Ball in
Phantasy Star IV.
