The large sands dunes of Motavia, as seen in Phantasy Star, illustrate the wild and barren natural state of this planet more than almost any other feature. At this point, the planet has not yet been subjected to the environmental alterations that transformed it into the lush, temperate world explored by Rolf. One might imagine that the vast, rolling natural deserts of Motavia are comparable to the world famous Sahara.

Bumping up this former Image Of The Day!
A desert on the planet Motavia. Looks hot and dry, which would be a welcome change from the chilly autumn/winter temperatures we are experiencing now in reality.
