Phantasy Star: Deluxe Edition

I was looking around online and just came across this gem. Check out the official page for Phantasy Star: Deluxe Edition, the mobile phone version of PSI released only in Japan. I've heard of this before and thought it was just a port, but it's really another remake. It's got new graphics and everything, though it seems closer in spirit than the Generation 1 remake.

Cool! I really like what they did with the title screen. The character sprites look like they're SD characters. I'm not sure if I like that, but I am glad to see that it looks true to the spirit of Phantasy Star.

I wonder if this will ever be available on an emulator? I know it's Japan only, but I'd like to see if they made any major changes and what Dark Falz and Lashiec look like.

There isn't much new here, but there is one additional screenshot that shows Alis.

In my opinion, this looks better than the PS2 remake. Shame that it's in Japan only.
