Phantasy Star: Fringes of Algo

This is the symbol of Orakio, which decorates the gates of castles in Orakian lands. The yellow pattern on the black background looks similar to a bright star in dark space. Perhaps this is a reference to Algo's star, the long lost original home of Orakio's people.

Honestly, I'm not sure what to think of this symbol. I mean, it's fine and all but often when Ilooked at it in game itlooked a little out of place.

I had the same feelings about it. Both this and the Layan symbol left me wondering at their significance. Neither seems to have a very strong connection to anything else in the game. I would have liked to see a few lines of town NPC dialogue explaining what both icons were supposed to represent to their people. Without that, they just seem like random graffiti on the castle gates.
