Our favorite green haired thief illustrates another reason she is known as "Shir of the wind" in this scene. Having encountered a Spitkill biomonster, she unleashed one of her deadly magical techniques. This is most likely one of the wind based Zan family of attacks. Spiraling blue air currents in the background are reminiscent of the Hewn skill in Phantasy Star IV; perhaps this artwork inspired the graphic design for Hewn.

What an awesome piece of artwork. Shir appears in somewhat of a chibi form here as well. I really like this one, nice find Thoul.

Green haired ? But so why Shir/Shilkia has..blue hairs in this artwoork ? Nice drawing and th wind is blowing hard.
You can find this artwork in the Phantasy Star II (indeed ! ^^) japanese hint book, if I'm not mistaken.

On the hair color, it's just due to some lightness in this particular printing of the artwork. I've noticed a few of these close ups from the Complete Collection galleries have a washed out effect on their colors when compared to smaller versions on the game manual pages in the same gallery.

I understand about the hair color ! A print difference is possible, you're right.

Ah SS you didn't see it ? Never ? But in any case, it's really an awesome scene : her favourite blue-haired (or green ? ;)) is at the top !

Shir: And take that! XD
Rolf: Did you dye your hair blue?
Rudo: ...Where's your arm?
