Back in the day, game manuals included instructions on how to care for your newly acquired cartridges. Manual designers, at least those in Japan, had some fun with this by including colorful illustrations indicating what owners should not do to the games.

Lena is learning her lesson the hard way in the Phantasy Star III manual. Liquids and electronics like game cartridges do not mix well, but the results of such a mixture are even worse than you might expect in Satera. Lena has spilled her drink on this cartridge, bringing an end to its life. In the process, she has created a strange looking new monster. She'll never spill again, I bet.

ha ha, and what a strange looking monster it is. You're right, she may never spill again...unless she wants to begin a new race of strange looking monsters, lol. I see she has those weird eyes too...yuck!!! Kinda sad pic though as she's so upset she seems to be crying. :sad:
