Phantasy Star: Fringes of Algo

Crowns are one of the several styles of defensive items for the head available in Phantasy Star II. They are worn only by women, but generally offer similar or superior protective qualities to their closest counterparts for men. The game manual, from which this image originates, labels this artwork simply as "crown." There are multiple crowns in the game, but there is no way to tell exactly which this one is supposed to represent. Hopefully some of the other crowns would be a little bit less pointy. A gal might stab her ear or jab out an eye if not careful when putting this on.

More than that, the design is great and the color too, even if it seems to have only a little of "protective matter".

Anna: ...For the last time, Shir, it's a crown. It's not a Sailor Moon tiara or whatever the hell you're talking about thing, it's not Goku hair, whatever that is. It's just a piece of carbonfiber that protects your head. Not that you're using yours.
Shir: Awwwwww. Hey, I was wondering- how come Amy's the only one who can use the Nei Crown? And the Snow Crown? We get stuck with the stupid Jeweled Crown as our best headgear. Unfair! ;_;
Anna: ...Who the hell is "we?" My Rainbow Bandanna's just as protective as a Jeweled Crown just because it can manifest Sa Ner. And that Wind Bandanna you're wearing can manifest Zan.
Shir: Ah, so I can do a Kame-hame-hame-hadouken with it. XD
Anna: You already know how to use Zan!

Really, in my opinion, that is one of the ugliest crowns I have ever seen. I mean it could use a little decoration of some type...a few diamond or ruby or emerald jems or other pieces of colored jewelry would spice it up rather nicely I think. And, with all those spiky ends, I won't even mention how dangerous this thing could be. Oh wait, it could make a good weapon of sorts, I guess. But for a crown, nah!!!

This crown reminds me of something ! A crown wore by a knight in Saint Seiya but I can't remember exactly which one but that seems to be not far from it ! And for me no it's not an ugly one, as often simple designs aren't bad at all.
