Phantasy Star Collection (Saturn): Rika Headshots

When designing characters, artists will often practice drawing the character with a variety of facial expressions from many different angles. This technique has been used by game designers, television developers, and even comic book pencillers. The main cast of Phantasy Star IV received this treatment as well. In this selection of headshots, we can see a progression of expressions as Rika begins to cry.

When I just saw the image, the one in the bottom right made me think she was mad at something. Then I read the description.
