Phantasy Star Collection (Saturn): Priest Peace

Wren and Raja are chilling - no, not relaxing. They're walking through the snow! While Wren is busy analyzing a sample of the white powder, Raja takes the time to wish us well with a "peace" sign.

This piece is one of five, each featuring two Phantasy Star IV characters. They were created for the cover of SPEC #9, the final issue of the Japan only SEGA fan club newsletter. SPEC #9 was never published, though. As such, these pieces were "lost" until being published in the Phantasy Star: Official Production Compendium.

Nice, I like it. Raja's looks even more funny here then when I usually see him.

I must say that I really don't quite understand why they put Wren and Raja in the same image. I would have thought they'd put Wren and Demi in the same image, but ahh well. That aside, I like this image a lot. Raja amuses me in all this hippie-like glory here, and it also amuses me that the two characters who are probably most opposite each other in personality are in this image together.

I think it's because they're choosing real situations from PSIV events and (during the game events) Wren only met Demi at the final.

I have to disagree, Newsblade. Demi and Kyra are in the same image in this series and they never met one another until the end of the game either. Honestly, I don't think there's any particular reason behind some of the pairings, I just find this specific one a bit humorous.

This always struck me as an odd pairing, too. I guess they just didn't want to put the two androids together. Alys and Rune, Chaz and Rika, and Gryz and Hahn are very natural pairings. Wren and Demi would be as well, but Kyra and Raja not so much. So maybe instead they decided to pair up the comedian with the perfect straight man.

I think Wren paired Raja would be a good combo, it could work with Kyra and Raja, though.
