Phantasy Star: Fringes of Algo

Here are a couple of nasty monsters. These show-offs are demonstrating their ability to combine into a new creature. The merged monster is no doubt stronger than either component. Notice that even their shadows combine, but the new shadow does not include the combo monster's arms.

Agreed. I still haven't even finished Metroid Prime 1, but I really would not be surprised if I encounter a creature that looks somewhat like this in any of three. That aside, awesome. I always liked the idea of two enemies combining to form a single, more powerful one. Because generally, the new creature is also much scarier/cooler looking and it's just awesome.
