Phantasy Star: Fringes of Algo

This is Rolf, who works for the Commander of Motavia's government around the year AW 1284. He lives in the planet's capital city. The story of the game centers around this man and the strange dreams he has experienced of late. He answers the charge of his superior to investigate a slightly more mundane mystery, but uncovering the truth behind that leads him back to the dreams that revealed the truth of the source of Algo's current danger.

Phantasy Star II introduced many new features to the Phantasy Star series that became staple features in most of the following games. One of these was the concept of static character portraits in the status screen. For the case of this game, these portraits are available at Rolf's home in Paseo and accompany short background texts about each character.
