Many thanks to Snorb for the reminder that Phantasy Star recently celebrated an Anniversary on December 20. Phantasy Star was released in Japan on December 20, 1987. This year of 2016 would make it the 29th Anniversary!

Phantasy Star was released a year later in the US and Europe.
