Bird drawing - American Goldfinch

Another new drawing...an American Goldfinch. This is the first one I've done ALL in pastel. All I have to say is that I'm happy with this one, now I just need to do it more!

The yellow and black colors on this bird are very striking. Terrific work on the wing detail here also. Awesome...it looks just like it's staring right at you. I can imagine this one sitting on the trees around my bird feeder. We don't see them very often here.

Oh, for a moment I thought it was a picture of a bird model, so real it looks. Terrific drawing, CW!

Wow, that's a mighty bright bird there. The pastels turned out really well one this one. It gives an excellent vibrancy and shading the to the piece. Very impressive, CW.
