Players familiar with
Phantasy Star II may recall that Mother Brain had issued a ban on space travel prior to the game, due to an accident which was revealed to have caused the death of Rolf's parents.
Phantasy Star Adventure is set nearly ten years before this ban, during a time when Palmans still lived openly on the icy planet Dezoris. Since they were native to Palma, these people travelled between the thriving worlds of Palma, Motavia, and the new frontiers of Dezoris using space craft similar to the one shown here. The planet in this picture is Dezoris, but the same screen is later reused for travel to Motavia.
