Half of PS III's music makes me laugh for some reason. I might be the only person in the world to even want to cover this particular song, but it was fun.

Your arrangement has the melody just a wee bit too soft, but add me to the list of people impressed with you taking on this song! I think most of us hated this tune due to being forced to endure it during the loooooooooooooooong boat ride from Rysel to Agoe/Shusoran.

Aww, when I saw you were playing on a keyboard/synth, I was halfway hoping that you'd use bell-like sounds like in the game. :D

You know, before this, I don't know if I've ever heard the complete boat theme. Yeah, it's kind of cheesy, but it does sort of have a...nautical (?) feel, so it serves its purpose. And if you ask me, there are certainly worse tracks in the game. Fun cover!

Thank you very much, everyone! It is a pretty soothing melody. The funny thing is I don't even remember this part of the game, at all. I actually enjoyed PS III, but I guess the more frustrating elements wiped some of the experience from my mind.

Yeah, augmentedfourth, I probably should do a bell cover, ha ha. Believe me, I plan to do bells with some of the PS III stuff (already did it with Laya's Temple, of course, that's a must). The intro theme will likely have bells if I do that one. Speaking of which, I actually had someone request the overworld theme, which is not one I had really ever considered, so I recommended Green Grasses and Azure Skies by Thea Landen. I had forgotten the way you were able to incorporate all the various parts of the theme into that one, that was very cool.

You know, I just realized that the boat theme is a barcarolle, right?

Yeah, now I see I was pretty redundant. :duh: Ah well, sail on, my friends.

As far as I know it literally means "boat song," but I think musically all (or most?) barcaroles are in a specific meter (6/8) and are supposed to imitate the rhythm of rowing a boat. Or, gondola. Or the swaying of the boat/gondola? Whatever. It does kind of sound like Chopin's Barcarolle in F# major in parts.

Perhaps the theme for several PSI dungeons, especially the one where you find Noah, should have been a...tarantella? *rimshot*

Bragatyr, thanks for the recommendation! It's funny, I'd initially intended to put my PS covers up under a different account, but they wound up posted under my Thea Landen account which, of course, is my pen name. Every now and then I run a google search of that name to check for everything from reviews I missed (yay!) to piracy (boooo), and one time I came across some gaming forum I'd never heard of where people were talking about PS covers and someone mentioned my arrangement of the PSI overworlds. I'm just glad they only had good things to say! :D
