S4, we got them both at an organization right where we live. I wouldn't call it a shelter, as it's actually a network of volunteers who trap strays and ferals in the neighborhood (and take in those caught by others), get them fixed and updated on their shots and then rehabilitate them so they become more sociable and used to people, so they become suitable as pets. It's a no-kill organization. It seems it's run mostly by a retired woman, volunteers and a couple paid staff. They take the animals to pet stores in the areas for special events, and otherwise house a lot of their cats in the same building where the woman who runs the operation lives. They are trying to open a shelter, though, but are still short of sufficient funds to do so. They were delightful to work with, and are hoping to have an actual shelter by the end of this year. And I just love tortoiseshells…my parents had one when I was really little (along with a pure black cat), and when we visited the home with the cats, Tango took to me pretty quickly. You might say she chose me.

She's very mellow and a sweet little thing, and seems to love rubbing against absolutely EVERYTHING.
Bragatyr, she sort of does.

When we visited the house, she basically just laid in one basket and slept the whole time, someone made the Pokemon reference, and it just of stuck after we decided to adopt her. She certainly isn't as active as Tango is, and she is definitely the bigger of the two, but once you start petting her she will just lay there and let you pet her for as long as you stay there to do so.
