Cats aren't like that. If you don't give a cat a tasty treat and attention, they'll stare daggers at you until you hand over the goods. :p.

Two of my cats will lead me over to their bowl when I enter the room and let me know they want petting and food. Just one or the other is not good enough.

So today the new, bigger cage I ordered for my rats arrived. The old one was adequate. Just adequate. This new one is big enough for the recommended space for rats (2 cubic feet per rat). The old was over the absolute minimum, but not the recommended minimum. So yay! Here's a picture. The levels will be really nice for them to climb and run around.

Oh, that looks like a really fine cage, CW! Lots of space there to get around in, etc.

Keep us updated on how they like it and how they are doing. :)

Yeah, it looks like there will be lots of fun for them. Even the rats will prefer a big house than a small apartment :p

It seems approved. Eowyn especially, who is the more energetic of the two, seems to love it. Much more room for her to climb. Arwen's being a bit slower to explore, and run around the ramps and climb. I haven't yet seen her on the top shelf on her own accord, but she will go to the second shelf for water. To make sure she's eating, I did put another food dish on the bottom, behind the ramp.

That looks like a very spacious place for the rats to run around and have fun. I'm sure Arwen will have a ball with it once she's more comfortable with the new environment, too.

My female calico cat had an appointment with the vet today to be spayed and possibly have an operation for bladder stones removal. It was a concern also that there might be cancer. I was very worried about her. She's my baby. :silly:

I am very happy to report that I have heard back from the vet already and there were no bladder stones, and no Cancer. She had a very bad infection and will still be on more antibiotics, but hopefully she will be able to come home in a day or so and recover. I am so thankful that she will be okay. :)

Same here. I'm a cat lover and I know how nerve-wracking it is when they're potentially not doing well. I hope she feels one hundred percent soon.
