It seems like it happens a lot there. I bet it probably has something to do with tides in that area. One of the articles linked on the side says it's a few days after their mating cycle, also. That's a whole lot of jellyfish, but it seems like something that should be predictable if it happens that much. I have to wonder why the beaches aren't closed around the time the jellyfish should be expected to show up.

I've been stung before, not in awhile. The worst one I ever had was a jellyfish actually got into my bathing suit and stung me. Yeah....that felt great

Jellyfish are awesome (but if you have been stung, I understand having an opposite opinion.) I have fond memories of going to Cape May, New Jersey when I was in like...7th grade, walking along the beach, and poking the washed-up jellyfish with sticks.

Me and my younger brother used to do the same thing. It was funny because after the tide went out and we left the beach I wonder what all the people would think when they seen sticks sticking out of jellyfish heads.
They were all dead though because they need to stay in the water to live obviously
