Paul Revere has died

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Tue Oct 7, '14, 5:38 am

Paul Revere, of the iconic rock group Paul Revere And The Raiders, has passed away at the age of 76. The Raiders gained fame way back in the 1960's and 1970's and although the band has changed members over the years, the group was still out touring as recently as this year 2014. Paul Revere played keyboard in the group. Below are some articles on Paul's passing which also contain some classic videos of The Raiders singing some of their most popular songs such as "Kicks", "Indian Reservation", "Hungry", etc. Paul will be missed. Condolences to his family. :tombstone: :rose:

There was a huge, ugly debate here (remember, I'm on my family reunion trip thing) about this yesterday and whether or not Paul Revere was his real name. I stayed way the heck out of it. Trust me, you DON'T want to know.

According to the articles I read he was indeed born with the name Paul Revere as his first and middle names but he also had another last name. However, he later had his name changed legally to just Paul Revere. What I found more intriguing than his names was the fact that he died at 76 years old. Yes, remember 1776 was the date when the original Paul Revere made his ride to warn the people that the British were coming.

Paul Revere and The Raiders were a crazy group at times but the impact of their music and how long they have lasted is simply amazing.

Below is a few more music videos of both the original band and also the newer version of the band Paul Revere And The Raiders:

One of my favorites:
