Just saw a story about this upcoming weekend being a time when the National Park fees are being waived. This might be great if someone has planned a trip, or wants to plan a trip, to go camping or visit some sites, etc. :

So, do you think you and your family might take advantage of this " free " weekend?

I haven't been to anywhere like this in awhile, but I can imagine how the high cost of attendance fees, etc., might stop some people from going to these places, especially now when the economy is already so bad.

I suppose that places like this have to charge fees to help them operate in some cases and to keep from shutting down completely.

What do you think???

I wish I had known about that before. I might have made plans to go to a park. I haven't been to one in many, many years. They're pretty expensive these days.

This Saturday, June 9, 2012 is National Get Outdoors Day and many parks in the USA will have free entrance admission days, but be sure and check the ones in your area to see if they are participating in this event before you make plans to go:
