Excellent ! When I was playing the second one, my two brothers were still at home or not ? Maybe not for my older brother but I can't remember...so when I played I didn't have exactly the same reaction on the moment but it's a bit far for my (old) memory...^^

Has anyone else realized that Odin's reputation was probably because of Myau? I mean he has a cat that is a formidable fighter, can sense traps, throw up walls heal him when he gets injured, and escape the dungeon when he gets overwhelmed. To people it appears that Odin has the strength of 10 men, because is the human, and he gets the credit, but it's really Myau that is the fighter of legendary strength. After all which one of them was defeated my Medusa, and which one escaped?

Not just that, Myau got commemorated with a statue, alongside Alis, as seen in PSIV. Alis is remembered as well (though they don't know her name any more but just call her "the Heroine". Noah/Lutz is remembered by the Esper community but it seems everyone forgot about poor ol' Odin.

And let's be honest, once Odin gets his Laser Gun he becomes the most important party member!

Yes, Odin/Tyron was never really in the memories and heart of Algo's people...like everyone has pointed out, all the other heroes of the first opus are more or less reminded in other Phantasy Star but poor Odin isn't really

I always thought Tyler was a descendant of Odin/Tylon (Tyler/tairaa, Tylon/tairon) and that's why no one remembers him. Once Mother Brain was created, Odin's descendants took off for the stars! Haha.

i have only played ps2, ps3, and ps4. and i dont know what an odin or tairon is, but there was a reference to tyler.

And yes the Alis sword, I've forgotten it ! But you need to make the link between it and the statue of the heroine (especially for the ones who have never played the original one !).
Yes, Tyler is a descendant of Odin/Tyron. And maybe you're right : they are off in space
