Phantasy Star: Fringes of Algo

You know, that would explain a lot. I like it!

One of the interesting things about the Japanese PSII script is that Tyler (whose character is a lot more crude and piratey than in the English version) claims he was near Gaira because he was looting it. That line always made me think that the whole "resistance movement" or whatever it was called from the Compendium was more something they added to the timeline to maybe develop Tyler's character a little more or give PSIII a better connection to the series. Now that I think about, though, perhaps Tyler's "looting" was more a cover-up to take the satellite offline before it could be used by the forces of evil as a weapon of mass destruction. Or, perhaps he was looting whatever explosives were on the satellite, via intelligence gathered by the Espers.
